Rosemary Chng, the visionary behind Elixir Botanica, holds a postgraduate science degree from the National University of Singapore, where she specialized in the micro-clonal propagation of taro. Her academic foundation, completed in 1995, sparked a deep and lasting interest in plant science and medicinal plants, which would later become the cornerstone of her entrepreneurial journey.

Her career began as a scientific officer with the International Board for Plant Genetic Resources, a role she held for seven years. During this time, Rosemary gained valuable insights into the diversity and potential of plant-based compounds for improving human health. Her work further deepened her expertise in the field and cemented her commitment to unlocking the healing potential of nature.

Encouraged by her mother and inspired by the transformative effects of a unique group of antioxidants that aided her father’s recovery from a stroke, Rosemary founded Elixir Botanica in 2008 as a sole proprietorship. The business was officially upgraded to Elixir Botanica Pte Ltd in 2009, reflecting her growing ambition to bring scientifically backed wellness products to a wider audience.

From 2009 to 2014, Rosemary balanced her entrepreneurial efforts with other jobs to sustain her budding business.
